Kevin advises private fund sponsors on the formation, structuring and operation of investment platforms across strategies and jurisdictions. He focuses on delivering practical, execution-oriented solutions that enable sponsors to raise capital efficiently and deploy it at scale.
Kevin brings nearly two decades of experience across leading global law firms and in-house leadership. He spent 13 years at Latham & Watkins and Hogan Lovells and served as Director of Legal and Compliance at ACON Investments, a private equity investment adviser. His in-house experience informs a commercial, sponsor-focused approach that prioritizes speed, clarity and results.
He represents sponsors across the United States, Latin America, Europe and Asia in connection with private equity, credit, venture capital, infrastructure and energy, real estate, sports-related investments and evergreen vehicles. He regularly advises venture capital platforms from first-time funds through scaled managers, including a sponsor that grew from a $100 million inaugural fund to more than $1 billion in assets under management.
Kevin is particularly experienced in structuring complex, cross-border platforms. He routinely leads transactions involving multiple jurisdictions, including Delaware, the Cayman Islands, Luxembourg, Ireland, Canada, the Netherlands, Brazil, Mexico, Spain and Mauritius.
His practice spans the full private capital lifecycle, including fund formation, investor negotiations and closings, as well as co-investment programs, joint ventures, separately managed accounts and sponsor-level arrangements.
Kevin also advises on U.S. securities law and regulatory matters, with a focus on the Investment Advisers Act of 1940. He counsels sponsors on registration, SEC examinations, the Marketing Rule and other regulatory developments, drawing on his experience overseeing an RIA compliance program in-house.
